The Priest Hat Company is a family business, owned and
operated by Bret and Linda Brotcke. Our hats are handcrafted
one at a time using antique equipment. We use many of the
same pre-industrial revolution methods practiced by master
hatters centuries ago, along with a few techniques that
we've developed over the years. Because we are not dependant
on mass-production machines, we have greater control on
the quality and finish of our hats.
We use only the finest felt available in the world
today, consisting of European hare fur and American beaver
fur (up to 100% Beaver). Our felt is hand pounced for
an ultra smooth and soft finish. We use topgrain roan
sweatbands that are a full 2" wide. We also pay particular
attention to the fine details such as grosgrain ribbons,
bows and bound edges. We create every hat as a work of
art.

are a company who concentrates our energy on quality
and attention to detail, not quantity and volume. You
may agree, a rare find in today's fast- paced world.
